Jersey school children are in for a very special treat with an hour in the company of one of the best raconteurs and performers around. Michael will be sharing lots of his favourite poems as well as a tale or two from his own childhood and his experiences over the years in the classroom and as a writer - all in his inimitable humorous style.

Michael Rosen is one of Britain’s best loved writers and performance poets for children and adults.  He has published in the region of 200 books for children and adults, including The Sad Book with Quentin Blake (a meditation on bereavement written after the loss of his son, Eddie); We’re Going on a Bear Hunt with Helen Oxenbury  (made into an animated film for Channel 4 broadcast Christmas Day 2016)  and A Great Big Cuddle with Chris Riddell. For outstanding contribution to children’s literature he received the Eleanor Farjeon Award and was Children’s Laureate 2007-2009.
